Team Chouinard Bocce Crew

Ended the season 5 – 10! NOT IN LAST PLACE. We started the night in the (wine) cellar. Tied with Bent Creek. We played close games and pulled out the last one 12 to 9!
We ate and laughed and had fun. Lots of fun. It was great team camaraderie. Let’s do it again!

I was out of town but my Daughter Katie subbed for me. Now I hear we won a close one 12-11 against Bent Creek!

I don’t have the Court numbers or opponents but the date and players are right. As of August 8th.
We are getting better!! No wins but LOTS of fun!

We played Nottingham. Good Team. Nice Folks.
We lost like 12 – 8 and 12 – 9.
Everyone played real well! Just a few unlucky rolls.

We found a sub for James and Julie next week.
But I think we still need subs for Joan and Doug on the game after that.

Have you all been having fun? I thought of you on Wednesday nights while I was floating around Central America and Mexico. Columbia and Mexico were safe – there was a police man with a rifle on every other block! It was fun, 15 days is a long time, and I’m glad to be back home and in the swing of things.

So, let me know your thoughts on the last three games. Al was telling me that a you played against a 3 person team. That’s difficult when they are all warmed up and know the court and our fresh 2nd team plays them. What do you think about that? The first game I played there was only 3 people for one of the games and one of them could only throw 3 balls. Al said that wasn’t the case the other night. I thought I might check out the rules on that one. Now that we’ve played a few games are there any other rules you want me to check into?

Just wondering who’s paid their $2.50 per game. Please let me know if you’ve paid Caroline. If not, can you get it to me or her ASAP and let me know? I’d appreciate it. Since they are doing there part and supplying the wine I want to make sure they get paid back the registration fee. Thanks!
